I've been building software professionally for 25+ years - from startups to enterprise, from PHP monoliths to serverless TypeScript, from single MySQL boxes to DynamoDB at scale. Senior developer, tech lead, CTO. I've made the expensive mistakes already, on my own time, so you don't have to make them on yours.
AI has changed how fast software gets built, not how hard it is to build correctly. Junior developers and non-developers alike can now ship a working prototype in a weekend. The gap between "it works in the demo" and "it holds up under a real business" hasn't closed - it's widened, because more gets built by people without the judgment to know where the risk is hiding.
Why fractional?
Most teams and most deals don't need a full-time senior engineer watching every commit. They need someone for the moments that matter - the system that's become too fragile to touch, the acquisition where nobody's checked what they're actually buying, the architecture decision that'll be expensive to get wrong.

Fracsen is a service of Mersey Cloud Kft, based in Hungary. I work with teams across Europe, primarily in CET-friendly timezones. All work is remote and async-first.
