What the engagement looks like
I get into the codebase first - not a slide deck, the actual code. I map what's fragile, what's load-bearing, and what's safe to leave alone. Then I stabilise it in place: tests where there are none, clear boundaries where there's tangle, documentation where there's only memory. No six-month rewrite unless the system genuinely needs one - and I'll tell you plainly if it does.

Technical due diligence
You're acquiring or investing, and the numbers look fine. What you don't have yet is a straight answer on the engineering: is this thing actually sound, what will it cost to fix, and what happens if the one person who understands it leaves.
What the engagement looks like
The entry tier is delivered as a written report within 2–3 working days of access being granted and questions answered - not from the date you sign; larger or more complex engagements take longer, and I'll scope that upfront. I look at what the code actually does versus what the pitch says it does, key-person risk, IP and licensing exposure, and what remediation would realistically cost. You get a clear, jargon-free report built for a decision, not a technical audience.

Technical due diligence - priced by deal size and complexity, from €1,500 (credited against a follow-on engagement started within 30 days) up to €9,000 for larger or more complex deals. The entry price is deliberately low: it is how you find out whether you want the bigger engagement.
Fractional CTO
You need senior technical leadership - someone who owns architecture, makes the calls at the decision points, and can talk to investors or the board - without the cost or commitment of a full-time hire.
What the engagement looks like
My agent follows your Slack, email, Jira/Linear, GitHub, or however you already work - continuously, on whatever you're comfortable connecting. It surfaces what matters into a digest; I review it and come back with a recommendation, usually same or next working day, plus direct involvement in the decisions that are expensive to get wrong - architecture, hiring technical roles, vendor and infrastructure choices, scope. Your team keeps the code, the product decisions, and the choices. I don't decide for someone else's team - but when it matters, I'll review the options and give you a clear recommendation with the reasoning, not a hedge.

Pre-flight review
You want the speed AI-assisted development promises, without shipping a system nobody can maintain in six months. That means senior judgment deciding what the AI builds, and a systematic way of checking it before it ships.
What the engagement looks like
I build with AI extensively, but every architectural decision, security boundary, and scope call is mine - the AI writes the code, I decide. Alongside the build, I write the checks that prove the AI's output actually does what it's supposed to, against the behaviour and constraints that actually matter, so speed doesn't come at the cost of correctness.

AI and automation: look first, then build
You know AI should be doing something for your business, but not what, where to start, or who to trust with it. Or something is growing - a process, a workload - and you want to know whether AI can let the person running it keep up without hiring someone new.
What the engagement looks like
I start by looking at how the business actually runs: where the work comes in, where it gets stuck, what gets done by hand. Often the first answer isn't AI at all - the data you already have answers questions you thought needed a new system. Then I tell you honestly what's worth automating and what isn't, and how you should run the AI side: which subscriptions, which platform, what it costs each month. If you want the builds, I set them up on accounts you own and stay around while your team gets used to them. I run my own business on the same kind of automation.

AI and automation - the first look is a fixed €750, credited against any build started within 30 days. Builds are quoted per item before anything starts. Running costs are paid by you, directly to the providers.
What I reach for, and why
These aren't defaults - they're what I choose when the tradeoffs favour them. A high-traffic system with complex relational data gets Postgres, not DynamoDB. A long-running job gets a real queue, not a Lambda timeout waiting to happen. The stack below is what wins that argument most often for the systems I see.
AWS & Serverless
Lambda, DynamoDB, S3, CDK, EventBridge - the call for simple access patterns and spiky traffic: scales to zero, costs almost nothing at low volume. Postgres/RDS is the call instead once the data gets relational or the access patterns get complex.
TypeScript & Node.js

React & Modern Frontend
